The Tunisia Project Office operates as an integral part of the Senegal Multi Country Office management structure.  The Infrastructure Senior Manager will have a dual role: 

  • Within the Tunisia Project Office, and under the guidance and supervision of the Country Manager, s/he will be responsible for providing support, monitoring and oversight of the respective portfolio of infrastructure project(s) under his/her responsibility and provides infrastructure services and expertise to the different teams, donors, partners and beneficiaries. 

  • Within the larger Multi-Country Office in which the Tunisia Project Office operates, and under a second reporting line to the Head of Programme, the Infrastructure  will act as an advisor for Infrastructure project(s), providing infrastructure leadership and expertise to the different project teams, donors, partners and beneficiaries. 

The infrastructure projects within the multi-country office including the Tunisia Project Office are currently a mix of large-scale infrastructure projects involving various sub-projects in different locations and less complex ones. The Infrastructure Senior Manager will be managing a portfolio of infrastructure project(s) which ultimate goal is to deliver infrastructure physical assets or technical outputs. Those infrastructures are diverse and range from educational and health facilities to roads, bridges, irrigation systems or ports. While the complexity of those may vary, maintaining high standards in terms of quality, health, safety and sustainability is always expected.


UNOPS operates in complex contexts where resources might be scarce, local capacity low and where professional judgement and experience in these environments are of uttermost importance.
