Under
the direct supervision of the UNOPS Programme Manager, the Senior Training
Officer will work with the Umoja Project Management Office (PMO) for DFS. The Senior
Training Officer will perform the
following duties:
Ensures the overall management and coordination of the
Umoja training team and its training projects.
Oversee
the creation of content, e-learning, collateral and other training materials
that will impact behavior-changing training using various training theories
inclusive of job aids, facilitator and participant guides, hand-on virtual
training systems, tutorials, and webinars
Develop content and
implement delivery of the training programs through use of new and innovative
technologies in support of Umoja and Supply Chain program striving for
continuous learning and disseminating knowledge across field missions and other
entities.
Drive
the development of programs that incorporate overall DFS/LSD objectives such as
the alignment with supply chain model. The incumbent will also develop and
maintain interactive learning solutions that drive measurable results for the
Umoja UE2 and guarantee that those solutions are instructionally sound and are
up to the business’s quality standards
Develops the strategic training objectives and outcomes
of the Umoja Extension 2 Supply Chain program, as well as the structure, content
and methods of training in cooperation with the DFS/LSD stakeholders.
Conducts a Training Needs Assessment, develops training
modules, evaluates the quality of learning and course materials and workshop
delivery and establishes continuous improvements to the programme.
Evaluate the outcome of
the training program and provide analytical reports, metrics on evaluation
surveys/results.
Develop and monitor key
performance indicators for the Umoja training academy by establishing periodic evaluation
and continuous improvement opportunities.
Manage a team of expert
trainers for the delivery of project requirements; evaluates performance and
advocates for continuous in-house learning and development.
Perform business process
analysis on new modules of Umoja to establish training curriculum and develop
process maps for delivery of training content.
Set strategic goals to
the training program and the training team, monitor activities, schedules and
allocates resources to the various engagements required from stakeholders.
Develop timely project
status reports and provides quality assurance for deliverables.
The incumbent is
responsible to abide by security policies, administrative instructions, plans
and procedures of the UN and that of UNOPS.
