Minimum of 5
years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience with
responsibility for Financial analysis, developing and managing budgets,
management, and financial reporting in a computerized environment.
Highly desirable and considered an asset:
- Experience in dealing with large financial systems
with budgets exceeding $100 million annually.
- Proficient computer skills especially Microsoft applications
with mastery in excel.
- Good knowledge of financial management systems.
- Ability to handle multi-dimensional financial
portfolio in challenging and complex environments.
- Experience in multi-donor and multi-agency accounting,
budgeting and auditing.
- Experience in financial aspects of programming
activities;
- Knowledge of International accounting and financial
reporting standards. Knowledge of UN and UNOPS financial regulations and rules
as well as procurement procedures would be an asset.
- Proven experience in preparing timely and accurate
quarterly and yearly financial reports.
- Knowledge of standard procedures and experience in responding to audit
queries.
