Administrative Intern

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Investigator of the Internal Audit and Investigations Group, the intern will provides support to office operations performing a variety of standard administrative processes ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. The intern shall ensure effective administrative and logistical support to the Audit and Investigations Section focusing on achievement of the responsibilities as mentioned below, in addition, He/She will assist in developing, maintaining and organizing tools, products, activities and data relevant to IAIG activities.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintain WrikeTM: IAIG’s scheduling, resource allocation and goal monitoring system.
• Provide administrative support to the Director and all IAIG personnel, including:
• Update and maintain audit and investigations software such as teammate.
• Data entries, extraction and analysis to support audit and investigations activities.
• Regular reporting of audit and investigations records to the management
• Logistical arrangement for audit and investigations missions: Preparing travel authorizations, bookings, logistical arrangements, and managing the related records and documentation;
• Scheduling group training sessions for IAIG and managing the related records and documentation;
• Recording and Monitoring of IAIG retainers contracts
• Submitting invoices, purchase order, and payment documentation to Finance;
• Providing secretarial support for internal meetings of IAIG; and
• Printing and filing of investigations records;
• Maintain the IAIG intranet
• Manage IAIG assets and office equipment.
• Perform any other administrative tasks, as requested.

The intern shall report to the Investigator, but is required to support all audit staff within IAIG as deemed appropriate. 

 Education

• Applicants must be pursuing a university degree, such as Bachelor's, Masters or  PhD, or be graduated from such studies within the last 3 years;

Experience

• Although no previous professional experience is required for an internship, some experience in office administration is highly desired;
• Knowledge of MS Office is desired;

 Languages

• Fluency in written and spoken English is required;
• Knowledge of another UN language is an asset;

***This internship is not designed to lead to a staff position with UNOPS. Therefore, there should be no expectation of employment at the end of the internship.
