Executive Coaching Consultant ( Retainer), Multiple positions

The People and Change Group (PCG) helps UNOPS empowering people, driving organisational excellence and managing change across the organisation in order to help UNOPS deliver on its strategic intent. 

We are currently recruiting for multiple Coaching Consultants(retainer) who will work in close collaboration with the Talent Management and Change Management work-streams within the People and Change Group and the Senior Management Team. The role will mainly be home-based; however there might be some travel to HQ in Copenhagen or some of the field offices.
The consultant would work on a fixed-fee retainer basis. The volume of work would likely be 1-2 assignments per month, but may vary depending on the need.  

There are four work packages, for which we are recruiting multiple consultants, falling into the following areas of responsibilities:

• Provide executive coaching for leaders in the organisation, either as a stand-alone coaching sessions or as part of sustained change management
• Provide Career Coaching  
• Design, develop and run an internal coaching capacity programme with UNOPS in order to build internal coaching capacity
• Provide external workshop facilitation for specific internal events e.g. performance management, supervisory capabilities, etc. as needed.

The Consultant will be a critical part of strengthening and expanding our coaching culture.

The Consultant will build trusting, powerful, engaging and influential relationships with senior leaders.

The Consultant will provide a compilation of development themes gathered from coaching sessions and suggests new ways for meeting those needs.

Design, develop and facilitate programmes with focus of the development of coaching capabilities internally including protocols and materials.

Facilitate internal workshops related to e.i. performance management, supervisory capabilities as needed.

Deliverables

To provide a structured approach for executive coaching for UNOPS personnel

Provide executive coaching for leaders in the organisation, either as stand-alone coaching sessions or as part of sustained change management. These sessions may be delivered virtually e.g. via skype or in person, if circumstances permit.

Design, develop and run an internal coaching capacity programme with UNOPS in order to build internal coaching capacity

Provide workshop facilitation for specific internal events e.g. performance management, supervisory capabilities, etc. as needed.

Education

• Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• A combination of Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• Must have graduated from an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited school or similar international coaching accreditation.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience of working with international clients is required, working in international organisations is an asset.
• Competent in the following key skills: Coaching, facilitation, supporting and leading change, strategic and conceptual thinking, influencing and leading by example.
• Experience demonstrating traits in trustworthiness, active listening, and direct communication.
• Proven ability to deliver quality materials at the appropriate level, on time and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent planning, organizational, time management, multi-tasking, prioritizing, written and verbal communication skills.
• .Strong comfort level communicating with senior level executives.

• Fluency and proficiency in English is required. Fluency in any UN official languages is a distinct advantage.
