Under
the supervision and guidance of Stop TB’s Manager, Advocacy and Communications,
the incumbent within the Advocacy and Communications section of the Stop TB
Partnership will be responsible to facilitate, catalyze and coordinate the work
of partners and its work is guided by the Operational Strategy 2013-15, which
has three strategic goals:
- Advocate,
catalyze, and facilitate sustained collaboration and coordination amongst
partners in order to achieve the targets under The Global Plan to End TB
2016-2020: The Paradigm Shift and move towards ending TB;
- Increase
political engagement by world leaders and key influencers to double external
financing for TB;
- Support
the development, replication, and scale-up of innovative approaches (including
the roll-out of new tools) to overcome systemic barriers in the fight against
TB.
Communications
Team:
The
Communications Team within the Stop TB Partnership is responsible for corporate
communications content development, media and editorial support, web, social
media, and multimedia (video/audio/digital) activities. The team aspires to
create compelling public-facing content to enhance visibility and promote the
organization as a lead player in accelerating action in the global effort to
end TB.
Under
the overall direction of the Manager of Advocacy & Communications, the Web
and Partnerships Officer will ensure that the website is upto date with the
relevant content, reinforce the overall communication output and support the team
with Partnership’s growing advocacy and communications needs where needed.
