The
Monitoring and Evaluation offer main responsibility is to ensure effective and
efficient management and implementation of the UNOPS ETOH-Sudan projects
through driving development results planning, monitoring, evaluation and
reporting in line with corporate requirements, as well as country development
needs and planning tools.
The
role will ensure that proper monitoring and evaluation are carried out at
outcome level and will provide input to improve results based management tools
such as results framework, indicators, capturing lessons learned. The
Monitoring and Evaluation officer will also provide report on activities and ensure
that reports cover impact/outcome/ output levels and strategic information on
results and impact of interventions.
The
monitoring and evaluation officer, under the overall leadership of the Programme Management Officer (PMO), using UNOPS
adopted monitoring and evaluation tools and techniques, s/he will support UNOPS
Sudan Country Office in planning, monitoring and evaluating programmes and
projects, ensuring evidence based and results focused quality project
interventions. The incumbent will provide substantive technical expertise on
refining the programme M&E results framework, output and outcome indicators
identification, evidence-based monitoring, planning, reporting and
evaluation. The position will ensure programmes and projects follow the
logical framework; have milestones with clearly measurable outputs which
contribute to positive outcomes. S/he will support the design and
implementation of the Country Office monitoring system, capacity building of
programme and project staff on M&E, drafting of work plans, review reports
and data collected, make recommendations, effectively communicate with
programme and project colleagues on M&E processes and results. The incumbent will draft methods, evaluation
approaches, and will advise on collection of reliable, accurate and coherent
information to assess the performance and impact of programmes and projects.
S/he will also support the Country Office team in preparing end of project and
end of year reports against set targets and indicators with an analysis of
evidence of progress towards planned outcomes and outputs according to
schedules and inputs provided through the UNOPS ETOH-Sudan programme.
