Architect, Retainer

. The specific tasks of the architect shall include, thought are not limited to the following under the guidance and supervision of the Infrastructure Team Leader:

• Preparation of designs and measured drawings for new and existing buildings/ facilities, including content development.
• Preparation of technical drawings and diagrammatic representations
• Ensure that all drawings and graphics are completed in time and in line with professional standards
• Assist the project teams and the procurement personnel to provide the technical input to the preparation of tenders, during bid evaluation process and in the preparation of the contracts award approval documents.
• Provide support to the field teams and the headquarters personnel
• Additional tasks related to technical drawings and graphical representations of concepts as required

• Extract quantities for the preparation of bills of quantities and review the accuracy of the final documents
• Prepare estimates for the designed works
• Prepare finishes, doors, windows and other schedules and details, programmes and works specifications
• Record variances during the construction process and prepare as built drawings after completion of construction.

• Advanced university Degree (Master or equivalent), preferably in Architecture or any other relevant discipline.
• A First level university degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in relevant discipline combination with 2 additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a Masters degree.

• At least 2 years of experience in conceptual design, Graphics and presentation drawings and specification is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in AutoCAD and other CAD Visualization software is required.
• Experience in supervision of civil engineering construction activities is an asset.
• Communication skills will be an advantage.

• Fluency in written and oral English is required;
• Fluency in written and oral Arabic is required;
