Security Analyst (ICS-9)

Plan and advice on all security and safety matters related to the day to day operations and wider UNOPS operations.

Conduct field security and risk assessments in support of UNOPS related activities.

Maintain and update the UNOPS Security SOPs and ensure staff and compounds are in compliance as per MOSS/ MORSS.

Report security matters directly to the Director/Deputy Director/Unit Head/Programme Manager.

Prepare security situation reports as and when required.

Attend Security Management Team (SMT) meetings and other working groups.

Liaise with UNDSS and other Security Offices throughout UNOPS system as appropriate.

Provide advice to all HQ/region/OC/PC staff on training courses and any other information required regarding security issues, preparedness, methodologies, approaches and practical arrangements.

Chair Boards of Inquiry related to security incidents/ accidents affecting UNOPS.

Any other duties as assigned by the Director, Deputy Director/Unit Head/ Programme Manager

Advanced University degree in e.g. engineering, management, social science or related field is required, or senior staff qualification; or first level university degree or military/police College or junior command and staff course combined with relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
