Stop TB Partnership - Technical Assistance Consultant (Retainer Contract / Roster), Multiple positions

UNOPS hosts the Stop Tuberculosis Partnership Secretariat (STBP) as of 1 January 2015, in Geneva, Switzerland. The vision of the Stop TB Partnership is to realize the goal of elimination of Tuberculosis (TB) as a public health problem and, ultimately, to obtain a world free of TB by ensuring that every TB patient has access to effective diagnosis, treatment and cure; stopping transmission of TB; reducing the inequitable social and economic toll of TB; and developing and implementing new preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic tools and strategies. The Stop Partnership is uniquely positioned to support the development and further implementation by partners of the current and future Global Plan, acting as a coordinator and catalyst for the range of partners engaged in the fight against TB.

TB REACH technical consultants provide technical leadership and assistance to countries and partner organizations in the areas of TB case detection, treatment and reporting.

This is a roster recruitment with the intention to identify successful individuals who will be engaged on a retainer/consultancy basis for a maximum of 150-200 days within a 12 months period. 

The scope of assignments may include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the implementation of TB REACH grants using standard metrics;
• Assessing the impact of TB REACH grants and produce relevant reports for stake holders;
• Advocacy for the scale up of successful/impactful case finding approaches;
• Participation in TB Program Reviews and other technical meetings;
• Development of written technical documents, including best practices around specific case detection approaches;
• Facilitation at TB REACH’s or partners’ trainings, symposia or workshops;
• Provision of technical assistance in the development/design of plans and funding requests and the resultant implementation of TB service delivery activities, particularly with respect to the Global Fund and other donor agencies;
• Review and selection of TB REACH grant applications; provide recommendations to unsucessfuly applicants;
• Other technical assistance requested by TB REACH and/or Stop TB Partnership personnel.

• Advanced university degree (master's or equivalent) in public health, natural science, medicine, social science, political science, gender studies, international relations or relevant disciplines.
• or, a first university degree (bachelor's or equivalent) in the above subject areas combined with two (2) additional years of relevant experience to substitute for the master's degree.

Contract type: International Individual Contractor Agreement (IICA)
Contract level: ICS10 (IICA-2 - P3 equivalent) 
Contract duration: The contract will be on a retainer basis for 150-200 days within a 12 months period.
