Intern Project Management

The responsibilities will be varied based on the working area under specific guidance of the designated Supervisor. The typical tasks of the Intern will be:

Knowledge management and research

• Conduct research on the targeted health care industries (Post Surgery Operation, Health Rehabilitation, Life Science, Healthcare Investment etc.) and develop related analysis report;
• Research on socially responsible investing, develop related analysis report and assist on liaison with New York/ Beijing office and other international institutions.
• Draft and present knowledge stories/best practices/knowledge sharing;
• Assist on exploring industry funding resources and developing new partnerships;
• Assisting in the organization of conferences, forums or other collaborative events;
• Perform other related research duties as required.

Communication and project managing support

• Collecting and cataloging partner information;
• Contribute to communication tools to keep both internal and external clients informed of the work conducted by the New York/ Beijing offices;
• Assist partnership officer to facilitate events and meetings with partners.

Administrative support

• Overall support to project managers in Beijing office and New York office.
• Assist in the preparation of unit meetings and workshops, including taking minutes/notes.

1. Academic qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled in a university degree such as a Bachelor, Masters, or have graduated within three years prior to the application date of the internship.
• The preferred candidate would have a minimum completion of undergraduate degree in the following fields: economic, project management, international relations, political/social science.

2. Language Skills

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

3. Computer Literacy

• Experience and advance knowledge of MS Office tools is a requirement (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)

4. Additional requirements

• Full-time applicants are required
• Experience of economic/healthcare or related areas are highly preferred
• Interns must make their own arrangements for accommodation, travel and necessary visas
• Interns may be eligible for a monthly stipend from UNOPS provided that they do not receive funds from other institutions.
