Under the global agreement signed between the Secretariat of the United Nations and UNOPS, the UN Mission MINUSCA has requested UNOPS to support the undertaking of the provision of Technical Support Services in order to optimize operational activities. MINUSCA requires higher resource mobility and flexibility enabling the Mission to achieve cost efficiencies in support of its mandate in the Central African Republic.

MINUSCA, the UNOPS Project Manager and the Project team, will be embedded in the mission and will work closely with all relevant MINUSCA components in Bangui, CAR to achieve successful implementation of the Technical Support Services. In addition to the Project Team, the Programme Management team including UNOPS’ Senior Management inter-alia, the Head of Support Services and her team will be supporting the project’s implementation. 

UNOPS has the required expertise to provide Technical Support and Transactional Services to MINUSCA; this in conjunction with UNOPS mandate for which it has adequate resources within the allocated budget to carry out such project, aimed at attaining the objectives sought by MINUSCA.

The Project Manager will report directly to the Country Manager in CAR and to the Head of Programme on programmatic issues.
