UNOPS Brazil is responsible for managing strategic and operational risks associated with the countries’ portfolio of engagements, developing and delivering cost effective services contributing to partners' sustainable results and achievements of UNOPS management results. 
In the country, UNOPS has been making significant strides in developing the area of advisory services in infrastructure finance with private sector funding and operations. This includes public-private partnerships, concessions, management contracts, loans and other partnerships to support the national and local governments to address the challenge on how to prioritize and finance the infrastructure investment needed. 

UNOPS Brazil operates as an integral part of the Latin America and Caribbean Regional management structure. It reports to the Operational Hub Director who provides direction and guidance. 

In this sense, UNOPS Brazil opened a new office in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso in the end of 2016, facilitating the planning, execution and monitoring of strategic initiatives. The Development of Public-Private Partnership and Integration of the Health Network in Mato Grosso is a project that aims to strengthen the technical capacity of the State Government by structuring the City Health Network (CDS) with alternative financing models for infrastructure and management.
