February 2009, UNOPS was selected by the Myanmar Country Coordination Mechanism
for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria as one of two
Principal Recipients of GFATM grants for Myanmar. The implementation of the
grants has commenced in January 2011.
In November 2016,
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria approved the funding
allocations for Myanmar and for the regional malaria grant for the period 2018
– 2020. As part of these allocations, specific funding has been allocated to
strengthen Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH) related to more
than one disease program. These activities include: procurement and supply
chain management, health management and information systems, human resources
for health, integrated service delivery related to reproductive, maternal,
newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH), governance and strategy
development, and financial management. The incumbent will work closely the
Department of Public Health (DOPH), and the Director, Health Management
Information System and the National AIDS, TB and Malaria program managers of
the DOPH, as well as relevant partners involved in ATM eHealth providing
programmatic and M&E support to RSSH activities.
