Under the
supervision of the Programme Monitoring Manager:
·
Manage the monitoring of water supply and distribution by
the UNOPS team.
·
Serve as a channel of communication between water and
sanitation monitors (WSMs) and Programme Monitoring Manager whereby smooth and
effective, and efficient communication flow is achieved.
·
Compile daily water monitoring reports (Borehole 1,
borehole 2, borehole 3, external and Roaming patrol) received from water and
sanitation monitors (WSMs) at the end of each day.
·
Maintain database of the water quantities distributed to
the camp community showing daily, monthly and yearly quantities and the
location (districts) of the water distributed.
·
Maintain database of the water quality tests carried out.
·
Produce water and sanitation monitoring daily and monthly
reports outlining the amount of water received, produced, distributed during
the operational day/ month, water quality results and identify any operational
challenges and irregularities in the water distribution operations.
·
Compare data collected from the WSMs to that produced by
partners.
·
Coordinate with the refugees’ representatives and other
stakeholders relating to issues that are related to water supply operations in
Za’atari camp (in coordination with the District Field Monitoring Team).
·
Train and guide WSMs on any changes in the water monitoring
reporting system/ templates provided by PMM.
·
Follow up with WSMs on missing information and/ or any data
entry error found in their daily reports.
·
Keep updated master list of all water trucks involved in
UNICEF water supply operations in Za’atari Camp.
·
Following up and react to water supply operational issues
to ensure the smooth implementation of UNICEF water supply activities in
Za’atari Camp.
·
Plan roaming patrol deployment based on the challenges
identified through water monitoring activities.
Desludging
Coordinator:
Under the
supervision of the Programme Monitoring Manager
·
Manage the monitoring of wastewater supply and distribution
by the UNOPS team.
·
Serve as a channel of communication between WSMs and
Programme Monitoring Manager whereby smooth and effective, and efficient
communication flow is achieved.
·
Compile desludging monitoring daily reports (Desludging
Operational Plan, Desludging Hotline, Desludging Quantities, Truck Load
inspection, Za’atari WWTP) received from water and sanitation monitors (WSMs)
on a daily basis.
·
Maintain database of the wastewater quantities desludged
from the camp showing daily, monthly and yearly quantities and the location
(districts) of the wastewater desludged.
·
Prepare desludging monitoring daily and monthly reports
outlining the amount of wastewater desludged during the operational day/ month
and identify any operational challenges and irregularities in the desludging
operations.
·
Coordinate with the refugees’ representatives and other
stakeholders relating to issues that are related to desludging operations in
Za’atari camp (in coordination with the District Field Monitoring Team).
·
Conduct analysis on the condition of water trucks to
identify any technical issue that might affect the quantity of wastewater load
or cause any wastewater spillage that might cause environmental
contamination.
·
Train and guide WSMs on any changes in the desludging
monitoring reporting system/ templates provided by PMM.
·
Follow up with WSMs on missing information and/ or any data
entry error found in their daily reports.
·
Keep updated master list of all desludging trucks involved
in UNICEF desludging operations in Za’atari Camp.
·
Following up and react on desludging operational issues to
ensure the smooth implementation of UNICEF desludging activities in Za’atari
Camp.
·
Liaise with aid agencies and desludging contractor to
coordinate desludging activities on the field level.
·
Implement and monitor an active desludging operational plan
(DOP) for desludging trucks in Za’atari Camp and take corrective actions where
needed.
·
Verifying the monthly quantity of wastewater by
crosschecking UNICEF implementing partner/ contractor records with UNOPS
Monitoring records.
·
Verifying the monthly quantity of wastewater by
crosschecking UNOPS Monitoring records with issued vouchers (approximately 2500
voucher every month).
·
Lead regular meetings between the Contractor, UNICEF and
UNOPS team to highlight performance, issues and to identify and implement
solutions.
Other
Responsibilities:
Under the
supervision of the Programme Monitoring Manager:
·
To perform any other task that is assigned by Programme
Monitoring Manager.
·
Facilitate the submission of entry permits to the SRAD
requested by UNICEF program sections and their relevant partners and
contractors.
Perform
other related duties as required.
