The Internal Audit and Investigations Group (IAIG) reports to the Executive Director and provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and adequacy of internal controls. IAIG is responsible for investigations into alleged misconduct, such as mismanagement, fraud, corruption, whistle-blower retaliation, workplace and sexual harassment, abuse of authority, violation or willful disregard of rules that involve UNOPS personnel, contractors and other applicable persons. IAIG also undertakes proactive investigations in high-risk areas that are susceptible to wrongdoings, fraud and corruption.
