The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners' peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations. With over 7,000 personnel spread across 80 countries, UNOPS offers its partners the logistical, technical and management knowledge they need, where they need it. Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO)

The Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO) is part of the UNOPS Europe and Central Asia Region (ECR). Specifically, AUMCO aims to enable achievement of Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement through global programmes and tailored interventions in the Balkans, South Caucasus, and Central Asia, focused on:

  • Infrastructure

  • Procurement 

  • Project Management (full service, back on track)

  • HR and Transactional Services

  • Grants Management 

  • Technical and Advisory Services

Pristina Office

UNOPS’ Pristina Office reports to the UNOPS Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO), as part of the UNOPS Europe & Central Asia Region (ECR). UNOPS presence in Pristina was established in 1999 to help the Kosovo Government and other partners achieve their development, peace and security goals and aims to enable the achievement of UN-SDG Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement through projects and tailored interventions by providing a broad spectrum of sustainable project management, procurement and HR Services to development partners.


The World Health Organization (WHO) requires assessment studies of the physical conditions of office buildings owned by the organization, which are located in several countries across the world. The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) has been requested by WHO office in Geneva to carry out a project to conduct these building condition assessment studies.

Assessment of physical conditions of WHO-owned offices will be carried out in the following countries: Tunisia, The Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, and Philippines.

The UNOPS Pristina office is in the implementation phase of the project Construction and Functionalization of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, co-funded by the EU and University of Pristina. 

The main objective of the project is to contribute to support the Kosovo Government to improve quality standards in higher education, research capacities in Universities and transparency and accountability in Higher Education Institutions through the Design and Construction of the new premises for the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences of the University of Pristina. The new premises  will create accessible, safe and environmentally friendly facilities for all, pursuant to European norms and standards.

The UNOPS Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (ECR) based in Geneva will be responsible for the oversight of the implementation of the Condition Survey of WHO-owned offices and all aspects of project Delivery. The Regional Office ensures compliance with the UNOPS applicable rules and regulations and internal control framework and addresses issues and seek solutions; monitor and oversee the project implementation through effective oversight and control mechanisms, review progress, identify constraints and take corrective actions as may be required;

The UNOPS ECR AUMCO Pristina office will be responsible for the project management delivery of the project and all associated project activities and deliverables, such as procurement, admin and finance, human resources mobilization and logistics, and direct management and supervision of the activities.
