Area Focal Point, Multiple positions

The Area Focal Point will work under the overall guidance of the Project Manager and reports directly to the Project Coordinator. He/she is expected to provide clerical support in well-functioning of the Area Office in term of (i) staffs and program administration; (ii) liaison and coordination and (iii) organizing project related meetings as per the requirements of the project/ UNOPS.

Clerical Support field administration in the assigned work area by;

• Assist in organizing and filling administrative records of UNOPS personnel.

• Support the coordination of regular staff meeting and assist in preparing meeting minutes.

Serve as a liaison clerk in the assigned work area;

• Serve as focal point for transmission of information (communication) to the different actors working in the area (local governments, NGO’s, local community groups, implementation partner, etc).
• Assist in logistics for assignments with key stakeholders, staffs, and project/UNOPS.
• Assist the coordination and clerical support monitoring/field visits as per the request from project/UNOPS.

Project meetings;

• Provide clerical support in organizing team meetings in the field (including local logistics).
• Provide basic routine support in preparation of area progress reports on scheduled date and time.
• Assist in solving issues.

Education

• Intermediate or Diploma in Management, Administration, Development, Social Science, Architecture, Engineering or related field.

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience specifically in project support and administration;
• Experience in field work is required;
• Availability to be stationed in remote areas is required.

Language

• Good knowledge of English and Nepali is required
