HR Business Partner

Based in UNOPS Headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, the UNOPS Integrated Practice Advice and Support (IPAS) unit provides strategic project implementation advice and operational support services to field offices under the Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECR), Asia Regional Office (AR), Middle East Regional Office (MR), Africa Regional Office (AFR), the Peace and Security Cluster, and UNOPS HQ units for HR and Legal support. 

IPAS provides support in the areas of Procurement, Legal, Finance, Human Resources and Admin. By collecting and analyzing information on interactions with several offices, IPAS creates training plans and makes recommendations for more efficient project implementation processes.

This role will be part of IPAS Human Resources (IPAS HR) and will report to the IPAS HR Advisor/Team Lead.

IPAS Human Resources is a team of currently 9 persons. We are looking for a dynamic colleague to fill a new entry-level role in our advisory team.

As Human Resources Analyst/HR Business Partner, you will be working independently and helping clients from our different offices around the world. You will be supporting policy development and implementation, and we expect you will be contributing with new ideas to improve processes. You will be providing guidance to field colleagues on systems, policies and processes, and be involved in the review and clearance of submissions, providing feedback to ensure capacity development. 
Besides advisory support to field colleagues, you will be in charge of coordinating the workload of the team of HR Associates supporting UNOPS Headquarters, and be the dedicated focal point in our team to engage the Human Resources Community of Practice. You will be supervising and guiding our HR intern.

Advanced University degree, preferably in Human Resources management, Psychology, Business Administration, social or behavioral sciences.

A minimum of two years of experience in a major area of human resources management is required, in an international, public or corporate organization at the national and/or international level.

A minimum of one year of relevant international experience (outside home country) is required.  Some experience in UN system organizations is desirable.

Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complexity.

Proficiency in the usage of computers and office software packages as well as web-based management systems.

Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish is strongly desired.
