UNOPS EAPMCO - Multi Country Office is recruiting for this position: Country Manager based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

EAPMCO

The UNOPS South East Asia and Pacific Multi Country Office (EAPMCO), established in 2017, supports, develops and oversees the UNOPS portfolio of projects in South East Asia and the Pacific. With its head office in Bangkok, the Multi-Country Office comprises five main business units: EAPMCO Thailand, EAPMCO Indonesia,  EAPMCO Pacific Operations Cluster, EAPMCO Papua New Guinea, EAPMCO China, EAPMCO Cambodia, EAPMCO Laos, EAPMCO Vietnam, and EAPMCO Philippines. 

UNOPS in Cambodia

UNOPS established its Cambodia office in early 2013. Since then UNOPS Cambodia has carried out a series of projects and programs, including the management of multi donor funds to support the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (also known as the Khmer Rouge Tribunal). UNOPS Cambodia has also been providing advisory and implementation services in the infrastructure sector to other development partners including Japan, Korea EU, and procurement support and advisory services to different line ministries of the Royal Government of Cambodia. UNOPS Cambodia is also providing support services to the Malaria Program of the Regional Artemisinin Initiative (RAI) funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM). UNOPS Cambodia is in the process of expanding its areas of engagement in partnerships with different development partners focusing on a portfolio comprising projects and programs in the infrastructure and environmental sectors, as well as continuing with the provision of transactional services (HR, and procurement). For that UNOPS is looking for qualified and committed experts that can contribute to fulfill the UNOPS mandate in the greater Mekong sub-region. 

UNOPS in Laos

Established in 2017, but with a portfolio tracing back to 2007, UNOPS Lao PDR provides expert support to the Government of Lao to ensure sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure activities in projects. With funding from various partners, such as Japan, the US, Korea, Luxembourg, Russia, the UK, and the Global Fund, UNOPS has implemented projects in the areas of health, rule of law and sustainable tourism sectors. UNOPS EAPMCO is in the process of expanding its area of engagement in partnerships with different development partners, focusing on programs in the area of infrastructure development, fund management, and expert advice, with a focus on health, environment, governance and digital transformations. For that, UNOPS is looking for qualified and committed experts that can contribute to fulfill UNOPS mandate in the country and support the Government of Lao in meeting its development aspirations. 

The Project Office operates as an integral part of the Multi Country Office management structure. The Country Manager reports to the Multi Country Office Director who provides strategic direction, oversight and guidance. The Country Manager will also work in close collaboration with the MCO Head of Support Services and the Head of Programme. The Country Manager role is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and supervising the delivery of engagements and operations in a given country - that includes liaison and engagement development activities as well as delivering timely and cost effective services for sustainable results by partners and stakeholders.
