UNOPS Ethiopia Multi-Country Office (ETMCO) South Sudan exciting career opportunity.

UNOPS ETMCO - South Sudan is implementing the Productive Safety Net For Socioeconomic Opportunities Project (SNSOP) which is funded by the World Bank (WB) to address existing challenges of soaring levels of poverty, vulnerability, unemployment and idleness, particularly amongst the youth. The development objectives of the project are to provide cash transfers and access to income generating opportunities and strengthen the National Safety Net Delivery System, SNSOP has four main components namely: 

1. Cash Transfers;

2. Provision of Economic Opportunities;

3. Strengthened Institutional Capacity and Social Protection System; and 

4. Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Generation.

Education

• Secondary School Certificate is required.

Work Experience 

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in community mobilisation or related experience is required.

• Experience in organizing community procedures is required. 

• Good experience of working in the relevant field location is highly desirable.

Language requirement

• Fluency in written, reading and oral English required;

• Knowledge of Local Arabic language is an asset.

Terms and Conditions 

• For staff positions only, UNOPS reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level than the advertised level of the post. 

• For retainer contracts, you must complete a few Mandatory Courses (they take around 4 hours to complete) in your own time, before providing services to UNOPS. For more information on a retainer contract here.
