UNOPS supports partners to build a better future by providing services that increase the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of peace building, humanitarian and development projects.  Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.

Global Portfolios Office (GPO), New York Portfolio Office (NYPO) supports the United Nations Secretariat, as well as other New York-based United Nations organizations, bilateral and multilateral partners in the delivery of UNOPS mandate in project management, infrastructure management, and procurement management.

The Sustainable Development Cluster (SDC) supports diverse partners with their peacebuilding, humanitarian and development operations. It was formed by combining the following portfolios: Grants Management Services (GMS), UN Technology Support Services (UNTSS), Development and Special Initiatives Portfolio (DSIP) It provides Services to partners' programmes that are designed, structured, and managed with a global perspective and primarily serving partners that are headquartered in New York.  The SDC has a footprint of approximately 125 countries.

UNOPS has signed an agreement with the United Nations to implement defined activities in support of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is on the forefront of addressing complex emergencies and spearheading vital reforms to create a more resilient and adaptive humanitarian ecosystem. Our work is grounded in an unyielding commitment to systematically identify and analyze emerging risks, understanding their profound implications, and formulating transformative strategies within, across, and beyond the organization. The aim is to navigate ever-accelerating global change and ensure that the humanitarian sector remains fit for purpose and ahead of the curve.

Purpose and Scope of Assignment 

UNOPS is seeking a dynamic and insightful Partnerships Specialist - Analysis and Reporting to take charge of pivotal high-level consultations and craft a foundational report on emerging global risks and trends and their implications for the humanitarian sector that will serve as a keystone for system-wide humanitarian reform. These activities will play a pivotal role in the evolution of the broad vision of the organization and be crucial in informing OCHA's strategic decisions and shaping the global humanitarian policy framework. This role is not just about guiding the organization but about reshaping the humanitarian sector at large, influencing policies and decisions that will echo through our collective efforts for years to come.
