This role represents an exciting opportunity to work
in a large multi-donor trust fund, contributing to the 3MDG’s Health for All
team and working closely with diverse local organisations to strengthen their
capacity and sustainability, in particular on social accountability, gender
equality and inclusion issues. 3MDG recently opened a new funding window,
‘Collective Voices’, funding local organisations to lead community-based
projects to generate better information around health needs and approaches at
the local level. The organisations are implementing projects to empower women
to make personal and family health decisions. The incumbent will play a key
role in supporting this new and dynamic initiative.
Under overall
supervision of the 3MDG Fund Director and direct supervision of the CSO
Capacity Building Officer, the incumbent will be placed within the 3MDG Health
for All team.
The Equity and Social
Inclusion Analyst will:

Support the implementation of the 3MDG
Accountability, Equity and Inclusion (AEI) Framework in relation to the three
Components of 3MDG programming detailed above.

With the 3MDG Performance Management
Unit, support the review of partner AEI activities, targets, budgets, log
frames and reports (six-monthly and annually), ensuring those proposals are
linked to relevant strategies and policies.

Support the review of annual AEI expenditure
and activities against work plans for the Fund.

Support the 3MDG Fund and implementing
partners to integrate and articulate social accountability, gender equity and
inclusion in health programmes to deliver upon objectives within the AEI
Strategy.

When required, engage and advocate with
the Ministry of Health and Sports (at all levels) and other relevant partners
to support the implementation of national commitments on social accountability,
gender equity, community engagement and inclusion.

Establish/maintain excellent contacts
and networking with stakeholders to support CBOs/LNGOs, civil society, gender
equality and social inclusion.

Promote information sharing and
knowledge dissemination on social accountability, gender equity, and inclusion
in Myanmar, including writing reports, analysing findings and providing
recommendations. Ensure easy public access to AEI-related reports and data and
support distribution.

Represent 3MDG in key fora on AEI, and
engage and support MoHS counterparts as well as other partners.

Contribute to capacity development
activities, including for Civil Society Organisations.

Conduct regular field visits to sites
where 3MDG interventions are funded to identify potential issues and facilitate
solutions; monitor progress in implementation of activities progress and
results.

Monitor a range of community based
activities related to women’s participation and leadership, feedback mechanisms,
and the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised populations groups. With
M&E specialists, collect, analyse and process AEI-related data to measure
progress and achievements according to the M&E Plan.

Organise meetings, workshop and other
discussion forums to establish a dialogue on AEI (recommendations/lessons
learned) and issues.

Work in close collaboration with all
other units of the Fund Management Office if and when required to ensure
consistency of approach across the entire Fund.
