External Relations

Based in Geneva, the Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECR) supports UNOPS offices throughout the region through: management, financial and programmatic oversight of global and country-specific portfolios, clusters and operations centres, including hosting services; fund and management advisory services; project implementation; procuring goods and services; and managing human resources.

ECR ensures that projects are executed to the highest standards, providing a shared knowledge base and ensuring that best practices and lessons learned are disseminated between business units and projects across the entire region.

 ECR strategy is to:

• Strengthen UNOPS role in operationalizing the Sustainable Development Goals with particular emphasis on health, environment and economic development.
• Position UNOPS in the Balkan sub-region, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
• Strengthen the implementation of ECR global and regional programmes, with revitalized partnerships in infrastructure, procurement and project management.

The Stop TB Partnership was established in 2000 as a global movement to accelerate the elimination of tuberculosis (TB) as a public health problem and, ultimately, to end TB by 2030. 

The organization has three strategic goals:

• Advocate, catalyze, and facilitate sustained collaboration and coordination amongst partners in order to achieve the targets under The Global Plan to End TB 2016-2020: The Paradigm Shift and move towards ending TB;
• Support the development, replication, and scale-up of innovative approaches (including the roll-out of new tools) to overcome systemic barriers in the fight against TB; and
• Facilitate world-wide, equitable access to TB medicines and diagnostics, including new tools, across public and private sectors.

• Expand engagement with current and new private sector donors through detailed research and analysis; draft background documents and proposals;
• Coordinate the Stop TB Partnership's engagement with the private sector, including but not limited to liaising with the Coordinating Board's Private Sector Constituency;
• Oversee the coordination of special projects/events in collaboration with the Stop TB Partnership's various teams;
• Monitor and evaluate, via the donor tracking sheet, new donor agreements, funding, opportunities, proposals, etc.;
• Develop donor relations material in collaboration with the Stop TB Partnership's various teams;
• Travel occasionally and perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Advisor/Head. 

Education:

An advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in international relations, fundraising, donor relations, communications, linguistics, marketing, public relations, and/or other related fields with 5 years of relevant experience; or a first university degree (bachelor's or equivalent) in the subject areas combined with two additional years of relevant experience to substitute for the master's degree.

Work experience:

At least five (5) years of relevant work experience in fundraising, donor relations, communications, marketing, public relations, and/or other related fields, preferably with strong knowledge of and contact with the private sector and/or other donors.

Excellent, proven writing skills, an understanding of the private sector, experience in working in a multicultural environment, and a high degree of initiative, reliability, and adaptability.
