1. Strategy and planning
- Manage the development and implementation of the GGKP knowledge generation work programme, including providing strategic advice to the Head of Secretariat
- Monitor and analyse work programme development and implementation
- Identify problems and issues to be addressed and propose corrective actions, liaise with relevant parties, and identify and track follow-up actions
2. Knowledge generation management
- Oversee the nomination and selection of co-chairs and expert working group members, including obtaining GGKP Steering Committee approval for the selections
- Ensure that key milestones and deadlines are met by the expert working groups
- Work with the expert working group co-chairs to organize committee calls and meetings as required
- Prepare background materials and meeting summaries as needed by the expert working group co-chairs
- Commission research based on the recommendations of the expert working groups
- Supervise preparation of various written outputs, e.g. background papers, working papers, analysis, substantial sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc.
3. Partner engagement
- Liaise with GGKP partner institutions in the development and delivery of the collaborative knowledge generation work programme
- Serve as an effective spokesperson for the knowledge generation activities and establish collaboration and partnerships with key institutions and experts
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships, including knowledge partners, affiliated programs, or engagement with other programs of interest
4. Knowledge management
- Assist the GGKP Knowledge Manager in the gathering and curation of new research and produce thought pieces, or syntheses, of important papers and developments
- Manage the research committee sections of the GGKP web platform and ensure these sections are comprehensive and up-to-date
5. Fundraising
- Prepare fundraising strategies and proposals to support the collaborative knowledge generation work programme
- Identify and engage potential funding partners for the work programme
- Identify possible research funding institutions and facilitate their engagement with the expert working groups
