Partnerships Specialist

Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Partnerships Advisor, and in close coordination with the Head of Programme, the Partnerships Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing the partnership and programme development plan for Jordan, as well as provide support for other countries covered by the Amman Operational Hub.  This may also include new countries where UNOPS is planning to initiate or broaden operations.

Education:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, International Development, Political Science, Communications or International Relations, Social Sciences, or relevant subjects.

• A combination of Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the education requirements outlined above.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in either report writing, programme or project monitoring and evaluation and/or project development is required;
• Within these 5 years, at least 2 years of experience in donor reporting is required;
• At least 1 year of international experience in partnerships, and/or fundraising is preferred;
• Knowledge of the regional dynamics and challenges for humanitarian and development assistance projects in the region is desirable. Experience in the humanitarian and/or development sector in the Middle East region is a plus;
• Knowledge of infrastructure, project management, and procurement projects is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in producing analytical and financial reports is an asset;

Language Requirements:

• Full working knowledge of English is essential. 

• Fluency in one or more additional official UNOPS languages is an advantage.

Contract duration: Open-ended, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
