The Investigations Analyst is responsible for handling IAIG’s communications with donors and external stakeholders with regards to investigation cases. Specific responsibilities include:

Liaise with donors and provide updates on the results of investigations.

Prepare statistical reports and related output as required by UNOPS management and external entities.

Prepare the investigation section of IAIG’s annual report to the Executive Board.

Conduct quality assurance of IAIG’s investigation database for reporting purposes.

Maintain IAIG’s database on IAIG sexual misconduct cases and report the cases in the United Nations Secretariat databases.
In addition to the donor liaison responsibilities outlined above, the Investigations Analyst will also participate in- and lead investigations of alleged misconduct including procurement fraud, corruption, embezzlement, collusion, bribery schemes, harassment, conflicts of interest and sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA). For the cases assigned to him or her, the Investigations Analyst will, in consultation with IAIG’s Investigations Manager:

Help plan and conduct initial reviews, preliminary assessments and/or investigations of alleged misconduct, mismanagement, fraud, corruption, sexual misconduct (sexual abuse and exploitation as well as sexual harassment), harassment/abuse of authority, waste of resources or violation of the Organization's policies and procedures.

Prepare proposed work plans for review and approval by IAIG;

Gather, seize and analyze all relevant evidence (documentary, physical, electronic, etc.), documenting the process in accordance with IAIG’s chain of custody and other requirements. Organize complex and voluminous records and documents.

Recommend the investigative tools to be employed; gather, seize and analyze relevant evidence (documentary, physical, electronic, etc.).

Interview witnesses, victims, and subjects, using interpreters as required, in accordance with accepted best practices (ensuring reliable information and according due process).

At the completion of the assignment, prepare a detailed report setting forth the findings, supporting evidence, analysis and evaluation of the evidence, as well as recommendations for next steps.

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, both internally (other units) and externally (donors, etc)..

International travel to UNOPS' offices, including field missions, may be required depending on the case. Such travel could include missions to hardship duty stations.
