Education:
High
school diploma. Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Experience:
Five
years of relevant experience working as a broadcast/production and engineering
maintenance technician. It is
required to be able to read and understand electronic schematics, demonstrate
knowledge of basic signal workflow and have experience with the use of bench
maintenance equipment, including soldering iron, crimping tools,
coax/audio/CAT5/fibre, and all other industry-standard video and audio equipment.
Experience
diagnosing and repairing all broadcast related equipment.
Experience
working with tapeless broadcast systems and end to end file and other modern
broadcast networked systems is required.
The
Engineering Maintenance Technician must have experience and/or related
certification for equipment within the: broadcast production, post production
area, Conference Microphone and simultaneous interpretation equipment, network
and server, CCTV, CATV/IPTV distribution, VHF and UHF radio communication,
Public Address, Infrared Repeater, Scheduling, Digital Media Asset Management,
Content Management systems, and Broadcast Automation Services .
He/she must
be able to develop, adjust and maintain accurate technical drawings and
documentation as required.
Language:
Fluency in written and oral English is required.
Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage
