Organizational Resilience Coordinator

Within delegated authority, the Organizational Resilience Coordinator:

• Provides oversight and coordinates the ICT related components of the global organizational resilience programme;
• Reviews business continuity and disaster recovery plans;
• Coordinates the disaster recovery testing schedules, test exercises, and lessons learned sessions;
• Participates in and documents disaster recovery test exercises;
• Consolidates test results and prepares reports on test performance and overall DR preparedness;
• Coordinates and facilitates the disaster recovery process in the event of a disaster;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certifications in Information Security (such as CISSP, GIAC, CRISC) are an advantage.

Required

• A minimum of seven years cumulative experience in planning, design, implementation, and operation of information systems.
• A minimum of three years of experience in disaster recovery operations including development and maintainance of disaster recovery plans, coordination of tests, and preparation of test reports.

Desirable

• Experience in coordinating and facilitating the disaster recovery process in the events of a disaster.

• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required; Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.

Background Information – Sustainable Development Cluster

Based in New York, the Sustainable Development Cluster (SDC) supports diverse partners with their peacebuilding, humanitarian and development operations.

The SDC’s services include grants management, development and special initiatives support, and technology support to the UN and UN agencies.

The SDC is part of the New York Service Cluster that supports the United Nations Secretariat, as well as a broadening community of other New York-based United Nations organizations, bilateral and multilateral partners in the delivery of UNOPS mandate in project management, infrastructure management, and procurement management.
