DFID will contract UNOPS to carry out a “Project Coordination Units (PCU)” Project in close cooperation with DFID leadership. UNOPS will work closely with the new provincial and local Government to coordinate programmes in the province and provide technical assistance through existing programmes, as appropriate.

The Deputy Team Leader/Conflict Sensitivity Adviser will support and deputise for the Team Leader to coordinate all activities of the PCUs. This will include significant team leadership and representational work. As well as being second-in-command for all operations of the PCUs, the Deputy will also coordinate all of the PCU's conflict sensitivity activities to ensure DFID-funded activities are carried out safely and effectively across Nepal. The successful candidate will also play a key role in coordinating Stakeholder engagement strategy at the national and provincial level. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a cross-national team which will have a real impact on the effectiveness of DFID’s programmes across Nepal as federalism is implemented.
