The Security Guard will be reporting directly to the Security Assistant, he/she is responsible in assisting the Safety & Security Associate in monitoring the physical security as well as ensuring the compliance with security policies at the UN City, Copenhagen facility. He/she is expected to take a proactive approach in order to prevent security/safety related incidents to follow operational instructions given by the Security Assistant or the Safety & Security Associate. It is the main responsibility of the Security Guard to perform patrols, man the control center and perform post duty both indoor and outdoor at the UN City, Copenhagen complex. He/she is expected to respond to alarms and incidents in accordance with the instructions and guidelines given in this document and in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the respective post. The Security Guard is expected to be visible throughout the duration of the shift on a 24/7/365 basis and to report to the supervisor and (if possible) prevent and/or mitigate any event with potential impact on UN operations. He/she must be prepared to work irregular hours (including night shifts over longer periods). The Security Guard will at times be expected to perform supervisory duties.
