Reporting to the Programme Management Office (PMO) Team Lead, the Project Assistant Intern will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

Delivery support and communication (60%)

  • Support the PMO Team Lead in the planning and implementation of programme delivery support activities, processes and tools.
  • Ensure that different project teams provide accurate and up to date project deliverables in the right template(s), and on time based on the implementation stage of their projects. Also, review and consolidate these deliverables in the PMO database.
  • Maintain the most up to date templates of different project implementation deliverables, and availing them to the project teams when required.
  • Support the PMO Team Lead in the communication, collation and preparation of data, reports and information on KEMC Projects and Programmes as and when required.
  • Facilitate the Induction Process of new Project Team personnel. This includes supporting the Project Development Office to Project Team handover process,
  • Prepare briefing materials on the activities and status of various projects when required, for either internal meetings or mission travel.
  • Assist in preparation of regular and ad hoc management reports for KEMC as required.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of PMO tools and systems in order to improve the ability to collect and analyze data.
  • Maintains hard copy and soft copy documents pertaining to the PMO Team.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Programme or PMO Team Lead.

Project Setup and Closure (20%)

  • Acts as Interim Project Support Assistant (PSA), in the support of new and on-going projects - as assigned by the PMO Team Lead, pending the mobilization of the new Project Team personnel within KEMC.
  • Supports the Project Closure process, by undertaking closure activities as assigned by the PMO Team Lead.
  • Support PMO oversight on KEMC Programme/Project Asset Management, and coordinating asset management activities within Programme.

Training Support (10%)

  • Coordinating the implementation of  training programs for KEMC Programme/Project Teams
  • Custodian of the KEMC Project Management Library, maintain the resources portfolio as provided by SPMPG, and coordinate borrowing and return of the resources by different KEMC personnel.

Quality Assurance (10%)

  • Support all PMO Assurance processes. This includes; organizing meetings, preparing schedules, collating information from the processes, preparing internal reports, and so on.
  • Support the PMO Team Lead in quality control for project management products and deliverables from Project Teams.


A minimum completion of undergraduate degree within the last 3 years is required...
