The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners' peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world. UNOPS supports partners to build a better future by providing services that increase the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of peace building, humanitarian and development projects. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations. 

In light of the COVID-19 emergency situation and in order to support projects originated by this emergency, UNOPS SNMC is seeking a Portfolio Senior Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and coordination of a portfolio of  Projects supporting the  COVID-19 global efforts primarily for  the Governments of the Republic of Chad and Mali in COVID-19 Prevention and Response  where UNOPS Cov 19 portfolio is expanding.

The Portfolio Senior Manager  reports directly to the Head of Programme  who provides direction and general supervision. S/he is responsible for programme development planning and preparation and for managing all stages of the Cov-19 portfolio under his/her responsibilities  to achieve results.  The role contributes to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the competencies and position of UNOPS in sustainable project management and services to partners, stakeholders and UN system partners.
