Engineer Intern

The internship is a learning and working opportunity that targets graduates both fresh and those already in the job market. The intern will assist the Project Manager efficiently and effectively in engineering-related tasks and administrative support to KOICA projects in Khartoum office. The intern will be exposed to practical learning and working experiences that foster development of his /her path. The Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager.

• Help preparation of technical drawings (shop drawing or as built drawing) if needed.

• Support in generating documents in case of design change (structural design and analysis, drawings)

• Attending meetings and taking minutes.

• Prepare letters and other documents as needed.

• Support and follow up HSSE reporting.

• Perform all document controlling activities.

• Help preparation of engineering cost estimates for planned and built infrastructure for contractor’s payment, and support in sorting out construction variations.

• Follow up different issues with Government partners.

• Administering the receipt of items for procurement project, inspection and report preparation.

• Support in monthly, and quarterly reporting and update the system accordingly.

• Follow up retainers payments and support in preparing requisitions.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager.

•  A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related fields is required. 
• Applicants should have graduated from the above stated fields within three (3) years prior to the applications date of the internship.
• AutoCAD, 3D, ArchiCAD, and structural design and analysis software knowledge is an asset.
