Project Manager (ICT)

UNOPS in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) provides services from its main office in Kinshasa and its office in the provinces of the DRC.
CDMCO's office covers 11 French-speaking countries in Central and Southern Africa such as DRC, Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Burundi, Rwanda, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Angola and Comoros Islands.

UNOPS helps partners achieve their project objectives, including physical and social infrastructure, elections and environmental protection.

UNOPS CDMCO recently established an office in Madagascar to support several partners in different sectors with advisory, procurement, infrastructure and project management services (including Information Technology Systems Advisory services). 

UNOPS CDMCO - Madagascar is seeking to recruit a Project Manager for Advisory projects in the field of Information Technology Systems.

• Advanced University Degree (Master's or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology or other relevant discipline is required.
• First level University Degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology or other relevant discipline in combination with 2 additional years of relevant professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• A relevant combination of academic credentials and/or industry certifications and qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the university education.

• PRINCE2 Foundation is desirable

• At least five years of progressive experience in the management of Information Technology systems design/development in the public sector is required
• At least 2 years experience in advisory services in the area of Information Technology systems is required
• Previous experience in development and delivery of ICT training programmes is an asset;
• Previous experience in defining requirements for data collections and data sets is an asset;

• Fluency in both French and English is required.

• For staff positions only, UNOPS reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level than the advertised level of the post.
