The Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO) was set up in August 2019 as a part of the UNOPS Europe & Central Asia Region (ECR). Specifically, AUMCO aims to enable achievement of Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement through global programmes and tailored interventions in the Balkans, South Caucasus, and Central Asia, focused on:
  • Infrastructure
  • Procurement
  • Project Management (full service, back on track)
  • HR and Transactional Services
  • Grants Management
  • Technical and Advisory Services
Under the overall guidance of the Multi-Country Director and with day-to-day supervision from the Head of Programme, the Partnerships Development Advisor (Infrastructure)  is responsible for supporting AUMCO’s efforts to engage with partners in the infrastructure space, contributing to the development and operationalization of new projects, programmes, and initiatives. This includes potential expansion into new countries where UNOPS aims to initiate or broaden operations, in collaboration with AUMCO’s partnership lead(s),  Country Managers, and Regional Infrastructure Advisor as appropriate, as well as supporting the resolution of partnership challenges relating to ongoing infrastructure projects.

The role is full-time, and can possibly be based in any of UNOPS - Europe and Central Asian (ECR) countries.  The incumbent may be required to travel routinely as and when required.
