UNOPS supports partners to build a better future by providing services that increase the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of peace building, humanitarian and development projects. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations. 

New York Portfolio Office (NYPO) supports the United Nations Secretariat, as well as other New York - based United Nations organizations, bilateral and multilateral partners in the delivery of UNOPS mandate in project management, infrastructure management, and procurement management. 

Sustainable Development Cluster (SDC) supports diverse partners with their peacebuilding, humanitarian and development operations. It was formed by combining the following portfolios: Grants Management Services (GMS), UN Technology Support Services (UNTSS), and Development and Special Initiatives Portfolio (DSIP). It provides Services to partners' programmes that are designed, structured, and managed with a global perspective and primarily serving partners that are headquartered in New York. The SDC has a footprint of approximately 125 countries. 

UNOPS has signed an agreement with the United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism (UNOCT) to implement the project activities for the UNOCT Special Projects and Innovation Branch (SPIB), Countering Terrorist Travel Section (CTTS).The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) was established through the adoption of General Assembly resolution 71/291 on 15 June 2017. As set out in the report of the Secretary-General on the Capability of the United Nations to Assist Member States in implementing the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (A/71/858), UNOCT is mandated to (a) provide leadership on the General Assembly counter-terrorism mandates entrusted to the Secretary-General from across the United Nations system; (b) enhance coordination and coherence to ensure the balanced implementation of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy; (c) strengthen the delivery of United Nations capacity-building assistance to Member States; (d) improve visibility, advocacy and resource mobilization for the United Nations counter-terrorism efforts; and (e)ensure that due priority is given to counter-terrorism across the United Nations system and that the important work on preventing violent extremism is firmly rooted in the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

On 7 May 2019, UNOCT launched a flagship capacity-building initiative entitled 'the United Nations Countering Terrorist Travel Programme (CT Travel),' which is implemented in partnership with the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Office of Information and Communication Technology (OICT), INTERPOL and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). It seeks to support Member States to prevent, detect, investigate, and prosecute terrorist offenses and serious crime, including their related travel, by using Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) data, in accordance with Security Council resolution 2396 (2017) and 2482 (2019). This Programme is fully aligned with the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and will contribute to Sustainable Development Goal No. 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, in particular the target on 'strengthening relevant national institutions, including through international cooperation, for building capacity at all levels, in developing countries, to prevent violence and combat terrorism and crime.'
