The Stop TB Partnership (STBP) is a unique and innovative global health organization that takes bold and smart risks to serve the people, communities, and countries affected by tuberculosis (TB), which, again, is the world's deadliest infectious disease. We bring together country and global stakeholders and partners and leverage our comprehensive range of strategic and technical expertise in our shared mission to end TB by 2030. The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) has hosted the STBP Secretariat (“Secretariat”) since 2015, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Background

The Stop TB Partnership’s External Affairs & Strategic Initiatives (EASI) team leads, manages, and coordinates the organization’s work related to:

  1. External Affairs – Engaging with external stakeholders and partners, particularly related to new new donors / funders, private sector collaboration, etc. and

  2. Strategic Initiatives – Designing, creating, and implementing transformative, entrepreneurial, and multi-sectoral initiatives, projects, and activities.

One of the EASI team’s critical strategic initiatives has been the Re-imagining TB Care (RTC) initiative, which aims to change how we do business in TB and global health and modernize when, where, and how TB care, services, and support are accessed and delivered, particularly by leveraging a people-centered design (PCD) process and the rapid roll-out (introduction, scale-up, and transition) of emerging innovations, such as digital and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions.

In addition to strengthening and growing the RTC initiative, the EASI team is exploring other new strategic initiatives related to TB financing (financial market instruments, venture capital, digital currencies), health insurance, digital health and AI-based transformation, TB vaccines delivery, etc.
