An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) preferably in statistics, mathematics, economics, development studies, political science, international relations, public administration or in a field related to the post description with five (5) years of relevant experience. OR;

A first level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) preferably in statistics, mathematics, development studies, political science, international relations, public administration or in a field related to the post description with seven (7) years of relevant experience.

Required experience
Relevant experience is defined as professional experience in conducting independent evaluations of projects/programmes.
Desired Experience (the following experiences are optional. Candidates who do not have them are welcome to apply):

Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research design and data analysis is highly desirable.

Experience evaluating initiatives that focus on human rights is highly desirable.

Experience incorporating human rights considerations into evaluation is highly desirable.

Experience delivering capacity building in M&E, including the development of guidance documents, the provision of technical assistance, and the delivery of training to a range of audiences, including to senior government officials and civil society representatives, would be an asset.

Experience working in diverse country contexts would be an asset.

Experience in the evaluation of highly complex and sensitive global issues, such as the Prosecution, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (PRR) of individuals associated with terrorist groups and/or Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE), would be an asset.

Work experience with multilateral organizations would be an asset.
Language
- Fluency in English (read, write, speak) is required.
