Education:
High school diploma is required, First university degree in Urban/Regional planning, management, Social sciences, engineering or economics or any related field.
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project administration/coordination, technical cooperation, international development or related area is required. The minimum year of relevant experience is reduced to five (2) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Previous experience related to the issues concerning sustainable urban development is desired. Knowledge of urban development paradigms and socio-political situation of the Local context is an advantage.
Experience working with United Nations or any other international agencies is an asset.
Language:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
