Below
are some of the key functionalities, which it may vary from duty station to
duty station.
Under the
leadership of the ICT Integrated Security Solutions Coordinator, the incumbent
will be responsible for the provision of analytical input to physical security
ICT environments within the ICT Unit of the respective field mission. The
incumbent will collaborate with the other ICT Integrated Security Solutions
team members to contribute to the overall ICT physical security strategy and
implementation.
The incumbent will
assume the following responsibilities:
• Ensures the project produces the required
products to the required standard of quality and within the specified
constraints of time and cost;
• Ensure that ICT Security Solution
implementation is being managed at the appropriate level and work packages are
delivered on time;
• Ensure short, medium and long-term
implementation milestones are met;
• Facilitate the coordination and
communication between other support functions, including external contractors
and solution provider;
• Oversee the delivery of work packages by
solution provider and improve the process in collaboration with other support
services such as UNSOA’s Engineering, Facilities Management, CITS, and HSS;
• Ensure interoperability of the various
solutions in close collaboration with the solution provided(s) and ensure
smooth introduction of Physical ICT security solution into IT landscape;
• Monitor the technology integrations risk
and escalate to the project coordinator if required;
• Provide Coordinator with strategic advice
and guidance on ICT implementations and integration matter as well as regularly
provide updates on the implementation status;
• Align activities with the other team
members and provide solution-based reports to team coordinator;
Perform other related
duties as required.
Impact
of Results
The results of work of the Integration Manager impact directly on
delivery of services that satisfy the requirements of the mission. It will also
ensure proper processes and methodologies are followed and implemented
according to the latest of the industry standards. The incumbent is responsible
for ensuring activities for all global locations are in line with the overall
business targets and UN policies, rules and regulations.
Additional Considerations:
The incumbents will be based in one or more DFS supported field missions in
Africa including but not limited to: Somalia, South Sudan, Central African
Republic, Congo.
