Ensure implementation of operational strategies and procedures,
focusing on achievement of the following results:
§ Support full compliance of financial activities, financial recording/reporting
system with UNOPS rules, regulations, policies and strategies, corporate human
resources policies.
§ Support the Implementation of effective internal control, ensure
the functioning of control environment and quality assurance activities.
§ Elaboration/establishment of internal standard operating
procedures and guidance notes to ensure clear workflows in the support services
units.
§ Quality assurance to ensure recruitment processes are in
accordance with UNOPS rules and regulations, appropriate use of different
contractual modalities and contracts management.
§ Review and streamline travel related activities to enhance
current workflow and ensure full compliance with established policies on
official duty travel.
§ Perform risk assessment activities and advise the Head of
Support Services on key operational, financial, and reputational risks.
Implement and monitor risk mitigating plans.
§ Review and streamline travel related activities to enhance
current workflow and ensure full compliance with established policies on
official duty travel, including supervision of travel team.
§ Support the provision of efficient procurement and logistical services while
ensuring compliance with corporate rules and regulations.
§ Follow up on timely implementation of procurement plans and strategies
including sourcing, supplier selection and evaluation, quality assurance,
customer relationship, measuring performance gaps, and advise on areas of
improvement.
§ Follow up on and measure the efficient use of resources
delivering high quality procurement and logistical services.
§ Support internal and external audit activities.
§ Ensure proper ICT infrastructure and updated business continuity
plans
§ Together with the assets focal point, work on enhance the
current assets management database and practices, including reporting and
disposal activities.
§ Follow up and report on the progress against established
management key performance indicators.
§ Gather data and prepare statistical analysis of the volume and
nature of cases handled in the support services units.
§ Support the provision of efficient administration services in full compliance with corporate rules
and regulations, including premises management and maintenance.
§ Monitor cost recovery activities and maintain relationship with
tenants and beneficiaries.
§ Support training and capacity building activities.
