Background Information – UN secretariat in Bangkok

Project Management Office (PMO)

The UN secretariat in Bangkok, located at the United Nations Buildings in Bangkok, Thailand requires the implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) to establish, set up and facilitate the implementation of the PMO, including developing the PMO guidelines, gaining stakeholder agreement to the project plans, and developing a Microsoft Server plan and monitoring tools to support the execution of the UN secretariat projects including multi-million and multi-year architecture/engineering capital projects and global service delivery projects. 

The UN secretariat requires the set-up of PMO to do thorough planning and analysis prior to project initiation. The secretariat requires project controls that closely monitor, manage risks, identify and provide timely, efficient and effective solutions to issues. The Project Management Advisor shall manage the implementation of the PMO and supply the skills necessary for the Project and Program Management including the Management of the project Scope, Schedule, Budget, Quality, Procurement, Risk, Change, Requirements and Monitoring. In particular, the Project Management Advisor firm shall provide Risk Mitigation, Project Planning, and incorporate processes into the PMO to ensure the success of the PMO.
