Under the overall supervision of the Hub Director and
Representative and direct supervision of the Partnerships Advisor the incumbent
will be responsible for the following:

Support partnerships development through active
outreach to current and potential partners, based on background research, assessments
of client needs, analysis of partner surveys, preparation of donor profiles.
·
Be responsible for a portfolio of partners,
including following up on the current and potential projects and advising the
Partnerships Advisor on all issues related to those partners.
·
Maintain active contact and follow up with the
partners under his/her portfolio.
·
Serve as focal point for partnership with the
European Union and advise the Partnerships Advisor on all related issues.
·
Contribute to inter-agency and governmental
planning processes, ensuring that UNOPS
priorities and programmes are included and reflected in the relevant plans and
strategies.
·
Keep abreast of market, social, economic, and
political trends and reflect these in relevant documentation.
·
Coordinate proposal development process and take
lead in drafting proposals and concept notes. for new projects and programmes.
·
Take lead in drafting of project document briefs and
or talking points for discussion with partners and in preparation for incoming
missions.
·
Support the preparation of letters for Expression
of Interest for potential partnerships when considered consistent with UNOPS’
mandate, goals and development strategy;
·
Close interaction with Programme/Project staff to
share information and knowledge; and to provide proactive support and follow-up
in building and maintaining effective partner relations.
·
Carry out field visits for needs
assessments and/ or preparatory work for preparation of proposals.
·
Draft agreements and/or contractual documents for
the implementation of new projects and support in addressing questions and/or
issues raised by colleagues.
·
Support
preparation of reports, meeting minutes and briefs in relation of the work of
the Partnerships Unit.
·
Perform
other functions as required.
