Under the Head of Support supervision, the Program Support Officer (PSO) will work closely with UNDG clusters and its field operations, primarily to provide everyday support and solution to ensure efficient and effective support to the implementation of projects under UNDG hub. The incumbent would have to keep a balance between operational efficiencies and policy/rules requirements of the finance practice.  

The PSO will coordinate with the Finance Advisor to implement at UNDG and provide guidance on updated policies, rules and systems introduced by the Finance Group.  The PSO will work closely with the project managers to facilitate application of these policies, rules and systems in the projects and programs.  The PSO will be supported by the finance officers and finance associates in confirming compliance to UNOPS financial regulations and rules (FRR) in the projects and programs. The PSO will lead the development and implementation of strategies and supplementary systems to improve financial management, monitoring and reporting at UNDG programs.
