Administration Clerk (Data entry), Multiple positions

UNOPS SSOC will be implementing the South Sudan Safety Net Project (SSSNP), which is funded by the World Bank (WB) to address existing challenges of soaring levels of poverty, vulnerability, unemployment and idleness, particularly amongst youth. The project development objective is to provide access to income opportunities and temporary employment to the poor and vulnerable households and strengthen safety nets delivery systems.

SSSNP has three main components namely: 

a.  Public works plus including complementary activities like entrepreneurial skills, WASH trainings and early childhood development and nutrition messaging;

b.  Direct income support targeting households who are labour constrained

c.  Strengthening safety net delivery systems 

The project will be targeting the most vulnerable segments of South Sudanese population aiming to be benefit in excess of 65,000 beneficiary households in more than 10 vulnerable locations across the country.

Under the overall supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Associate, the incumbent is required to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in collecting all relevant data and the implementation of assessments where appropriate.
• Enter and update of attendance data in the MIS system.
• Support the development of data collection tools through testing and piloting of the tools.
• Provide regular verbal and written feedback on field observations and monitoring findings to the M&E Associate.
• Performs any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Final Product

●        All project data successfully entered in MIS in time and to expected standard

• Completion of secondary school education is required. 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data collection or other relevant experience combined with secondary education is required, OR,

• Bachelors degree combined with 0 years of experience; 

• Experience in development work and in remote areas is highly desirable;

• Experience in public works projects will be an asset

• Experience in Google suite applications will be an asset

• Experience working with local communities is an asset

• Fluency in written and oral English required

• Knowledge of local Arabic desired
