The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners' peacebuilding, humanitarian and development projects around the world. UNOPS supports partners to build a better future by providing services that increase the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of peace building, humanitarian and development projects. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.
The Country Office is responsible for managing strategic and operational risks associated with the Country Office’s portfolio of engagements – as part of the Multi Country Office set up, developing and delivering cost effective services contributing to partners' sustainable results and achievements of UNOPS management results.
UNOPS in Mozambique supports its partners efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. By providing a range of services, including fund management and administrative services, as well as infrastructure and procurement services, UNOPS supports peace and reconciliation efforts, improves health services and helps build a more sustainable future for the people of Mozambique.
The Mozambique Project Office operates as an integral part of the East and Southern Africa Multi Country Office (ESAMCO) management structure.
Under the overall supervision of the Country Manager and in accordance with UNOPS policies, procedures and practices , the Partnership Officer will work towards strengthening UNOPS presence in Mozambique through the development of projects and relationships with key stakeholders.
